American Indian Entrepreneurship (Spokane , WA)
Gonzaga's MBA in American Indian Entrepreneurship (MBA/AIE) program was established in 2001 with the generous help of the Johnson Scholarship Foundation. Gonzaga University was chosen to develop the program because of its national recognition, accreditation, strong mission and commitment to social justice. The program strives to prepare leaders to effectively manage and support sustainable business on American Indian reservations. Since its inception, it has given over 40 alumni the the skills necessary to make a positive impact on their tribes and reservations. Gonzaga is able to offer generous scholarships for applicants to this unique and transformative program.
Heritage Center / Red Cloud Museum (Pine Ridge, SD)
The Heritage Center of Red Cloud Indian School opened as a museum in 1982. It offers to the public - local, national, and international - an outstanding collection of Native American fine arts and Lakota tribal arts, located on the main campus of Red Cloud Indian School.
Red Cloud Indian School / Holy Rosary Mission (Pine Ridge, SD)
In 1888, Holy Rosary became the first Catholic Indian Mission on the Pine Ridge Reservation. The school later honored the name of this great Lakota leader, becoming Red Cloud Indian School. For more than a century, Red Cloud Indian School has sought to give the Lakota students the skills they need to compete in a larger society while retaining the traditional values of their Lakota heritage.
